Scan a Vino Verified tag
1. Open the Vino Verified app
2. Click on the bottle image to the left of Scan Wine Bottle
3. When you get the ‘Ready to Scan’ message, hold your phone very close to the Vino Verified tag on the wine bottle
4. You will see a message that says ‘This bottle is verified’ when the tag is read. After 1-2 seconds, that will be replaced by information about the Wine and the Producer.
Get the inside scoop on the Producer
You can get back to the Producer information anytime by clicking on the Producer tab.
You will see information about the Producer including history, if they do anything extra regarding the environment or sustainability, details about the grower and oftentimes, since we deal with many small producers, some information about their family as it relates to the winery.
Get the story on the Wine
This is the section on the Wine tab.
In addition to the Summary, get more details on the wine which includes information obtained directly from the Producer as well as the Distributor.
Transparency for Wine
The Vineyard tab gives you a summary of the farming practices.
The Cellar tab gives you a summary of the winemaking practices.
Did something go wrong?
Nothing happens when scanning a Vino Verified Tag.
The NFC technology requires that your phone be just a few cm from the tag. Try moving your phone closer to the tag.
Not enough information is appearing or you can’t find what you are looking for.

What phones are supported?
The NFC technology used in the Vino Verified app requires you to have an iPhone 7 or later and IOS 11 or later. Vino Verified will soon support Android.
It doesn’t look like the tag is being scanned with my phone?
The NFC technology requires that your phone be just a few cm from the tag. Try moving your phone closer to the tag.
I don’t see a Vino Verified tag on a wine bottle.
We only producers on our platform that are pleased to be transparent about what’s in their wine. Not every producer is on our platform. If you have a wine that you’d like to see, please email us!

How does it work?
Vino Verified relies on NFC technology to scan the tags; each Vino Verified tag is an NFC tag. Each tag has a unique bottle ID, which identifies the wine.
Who sources the information about the wines?
The information on the Vino Verified platform is directly supplied from the producer or the distributor. We do not rely on consumer reviews or information provided by consumers.
